Link: A philosophy to build sustained success - not "tanking"

The MMQB's Andrew Brandt is always one of the most level-headed members of the NFL media, having come from a front office background himself. In his latest article entitled "How to Build a Winning Franchise" he defends the Jets against accusations of tanking.

Citing the approach of other organizations around the sports world, Brandt suggests that the Jets are adopting a strategy geared towards long-term success which provides opportunities for young players and reflects the short life-cycle for most NFL players.

Brandt's take is well worth a read, even if you disagree with his reasoning.
