Jets select Olu Fashanu with the 11th overall pick

With their first pick of the 2024 draft, the Jets selected Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu. Hopefully this shores up the left tackle position for the next several years while providing valuable cover for Tyron Smith in 2024.

The Jets had been scheduled to pick 10th but added some additional draft capital from the Vikings by moving back one spot. They also gave up a sixth round pick in the deal but added a fourth and a fifth. No doubt the Vikings must have had to outbid another team wanting that 10th pick.

The Jets are scheduled to pick again once tomorrow, at 72 (barring a trade). We'll be back in the morning to review who's potentially available.
