Jets Practice Recap

The Jets were on the field for another training camp practice on Wednesday with fans and media on hand.

Here's what went down during practice, based on media reports and tweets from those in attendance:

Alijah Vera-Tucker, Ronald Blair and Isaiah Dunn were in the rehab area;
Marcus Maye was injured during red zone drills but returned for the next set of team drills;
Morgan Moses and George Fant continue to share reps at right tackle;
Denzel Mims had a nice catch for a touchdown in red zone drills then got some first team reps in the team period;
Ace Carter ran for a first down as the team period got underway but then Jarrad Davis blew up a run;
Zach Wilson's first pass of the day was almost intercepted by CJ Mosley, who dropped deep to make a leaping play on the ball;
Mike White's first pass was jumped for an interception by Jamien Sherwood;
Noah Dawkins made a nice play to stop a run on an outside toss play;
Wilson was sacked by a combination of Carl Lawson and John Franklin-Myers but bounced back with a couple of short passes to Tyler Kroft and Trevon Wesco, then hit Corey Davis on a nice throw over the middle;
Mekhi Becton had a couple of good reps to neutralize Lawson;
White had failed to connect with Ryan Griffin but bounced back to complete passes to Lawrence Cager and Kenny Yeboah;
Perine made a diving catch on an off-target James Morgan throw;
Josh Johnson connected with Josh Malone on a timing pattern;
Wilson found Davis for a touchdown in red zone drills as he ran an out pattern against Bryce Hall but then he tried to hit him again and Javelin Guidry broke it up;
White hit Griffin for a touchdown in red zone drills but his next pass ended up as a Brandin Echols pick six as it was deflected by Elijah Campbell;
Hall was then flagged for pass interference on Davis in the end zone;
Wilson hit Davis again in the red zone, this time against Austin;
The backups had some red zone success too, with Morgan hitting Vyncint Smith who made a leaping grab and White hitting Cager;
Hall had two pass break-ups and Jason Pinnock had one in 7-on-7's;
Kroft dropped a downfield pass from Wilson;
Mims beat Pinnock deep for 35 yards on a fingertip grab in 7-on-7's from White but then Johnson looked for Mims again and this time Echols broke it up;
Johnson hit Malone in stride for a nice gain;
In red zone 7-on-7's Wilson's pass to Smith was broken up by Austin, but then he hit Chris Herndon and Corey Davis for touchdowns. Herndon beat Jarrad Davis, while Corey beat Austin on a whip route;
Lamar Jackson broke up a White pass in red zone 7-on-7's as Mims almost came down with it at the back of the endzone, but then got beaten by Elijah Moore on a whip route for a score on the next play;
Wilson came up empty on his final series; and
Echols broke up a Morgan pass to Malone to end practice.
