Jets coaching search: Latest developments
It's time to share some of the latest updates on the Jets' coaching search, starting with confirmation that the Jets will have interest in a name there's already been plenty of buzz about:
Two teams that did extensive research into former #Lions and #Colts coach Jim Caldwell and have interest in interviewing him: The #Jets and the #Browns. That’s at least three for Caldwell, since he already talked with the #Packers.

However, another name who many thought was a top candidate has ruled himself out of an NFL move:
Iowa State coach Matt Campbell did receive a request from the #Jets, source said. But at this point, he’s declining this one.

Another young coach who figures to be a top candidate for the available jobs doesn't seem to be interesting the Jets so far, though:
I’m a little surprised the Jets, in their “extensive” search, don’t seem to be in on Rams QB coach Zac Taylor. Cards, Broncos and Bengals have already scheduled interviews with him, per a source. But no Jets.

Finally (for now), a report surfaced that Mike McCarthy, another veteran coach expected to be a top candidate, is planning to sit out the 2019 season. A previous rumor that he was headed to the Browns was debunked.
Previous updates: Jets requested permission to interview Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Cowboys defensive backs coach Kris Richard and Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
