Jets Camp Practice Recap - 7/27/23
Media was on hand for the Jets' training camp practice today. Here's what went down according to those on hand:
- CJ Uzomah practiced for the first time having been activated from the PUP list;
- Allen Lazard and Mekhi Becton returned to practice but John Franklin-Myers was out with a groin injury. Becton sat out of team drills though;
- Garrett Wilson was shaken up early on and was checked on by trainers after limping off. He did not take part in the rest of practice;
- Quinnen Williams blew up a run and DJ Reed had good coverage on an incomplete pass on the first series but Aaron Rodgers did connect with Tyler Conklin;
- Micheal Clemons and Wes Schweitzer got into a shoving match and then Trey Dean and Ace Carter did too on the next play;
- Quincy Williams read a Rodgers pass and almost intercepted it;
- Zach Wilson stepped up and connected for a big gain to Kenny Yeboah with pressure from Bryce Huff and Jermaine Johnson;
- Chris Streveler had a long gain on a run up the middle;
- Jimmy Moreland had a pick six on a Tim Boyle screen pass;
- Jason Brownlee made a diving touchdown catch on a Streveler pass then caught a 20-yard touchdown from Rodgers on a blown coverage;
- Bam Knight caught a pass from Rodgers early on, then ran for two scores in the red zone period; and
- Greg Zuerlein made 7 of 7 field goals including 50 and 55 yard kicks.
