Jets Camp Practice Recap - 7/24/23
Media was on hand for the Jets' final training camp practice today. Here's what went down according to those on hand:
- Carl Lawson and Allen Lazard did not practice. Robert Saleh confirmed that he's not sure Lawson will be available for week one due to his back injury. Lazard, on the other hand, should be fine, although his AC-joint injury will prevent him from playing on Saturday;
- Israel Abanikanda was with Lawson and Lazard in the rehab area;
- Duane Brown took part in positional drills for the first time. Mekhi Becton, however, did not. He was on the exercise bike;
- It was raining so some players may have been kept out as a precaution and the session was kept very short;
- Aaron Rodgers found Randall Cobb for a touchdown to get the red zone session underway;
- Ace Carter also ran for a touchdown behind Billy Turner and Laken Tomlinson;
- Rodgers missed an open Garrett Wilson on an inside route, throwing behind him; and
- Practice ended when Rodgers found a wide-open Wilson in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown.
