Injury Update: Russell Wilson to miss Sunday's game against the Jets
The Jets' chances on Sunday presumably got a boost with this news:
While Russell Wilson wanted to play despite a hamstring injury and did everything he could to play, the Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett will hold back the 9-time Pro Bowl QB vs. the Jets to allow him to heal and prevent a lingering injury, per sources.

Wilson was struggling anyway, even before he got injured, so the Broncos might be better off with Rypien, who won his only career start against the 2020 Jets despite throwing three interceptions. Josh Johnson, the greatest quarterback of all time, looms large as the backup, though. He'll be elevated from the practice squad.
