Injury update: Echols to miss Sunday's game, Reed in concussion protocol
The first injury report of Broncos week is out:
Adams and Schweitzer returning to practice is good news that should give the Jets a bit more flexibility for this weekend but the Echols injury is a problem. Bryce Hall replaced Echols in dime packages on Sunday and there may also be an opening for a gunner (Irv Charles from the practice squad, perhaps?). Three safety sets could also continue to be used regularly.
The Jets reportedly worked out veteran defensive back Terrance Mitchell today too, so we will post an update if he signs.
Reed, who is in the protocol, is probably the biggest concern but the team is apparently optimistic he will play. If he doesn't then the Jets will be really shorthanded, with Hall potentially starting on the outside.
