Injury Update: Darnold isn't the only player to miss practice
The Jets gave their first full injury update of the week, following the earlier news that Sam Darnold sprained his foot and is expected to miss at least one game. Six other players missed practice and four were limited.
The players to miss practice included Spencer Long, Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, Steve McLendon and Neal Sterling, each of whom also missed some time last week. The other player to miss practice was Terrence Brooks due to illness.
Trumaine Johnson was limited in practice as he continues to get closer to a return from his quad injury. Frankie Luvu, Kevin Pierre-Louis and James Carpenter were also limited. It's not surprising to learn that Carpenter has a shoulder injury, as he was reported to have been icing it after the game on Sunday.
11 other players were listed on the injury report but practiced in full. These included the recently returned Marcus Maye, Elijah McGuire and Rontez Miles. Tarell Basham practiced full despite being knocked out of the Miami game with a knee injury.
