Injury update: Crowder misses practice but Darnold continues to progress
The Jets just released their latest injury report:
#Jets Thursday Injury Report:
— Dennis Waszak Jr. (@DWAZ73) October 22, 2020
DNP: Basham, Crowder, Ficken, Gore, ALewis
LP: Becton, Darnold, Edoga, Fant
FP: Berrios, Jenkins, Perriman.
-Basham has a non-COVID illness.
-Crowder & Ficken downgraded after LP
-Gore had a rest day
-Fant was a new addition
-Perriman up from LP
After practice, Darnold said that his return to practice has gone well, although he admitted he is still dealing with some mild pain.
Ficken missed practice after suffering a groin injury during yesterday's practice. The Jets have a kicker on the practice squad - the recently signed Sergio Castillo - so they can elevate him on Saturday if Ficken can't kick on Sunday.
Crowder, who also suffered a groin injury yesterday, was initially going to be limited today according to what Gase told the media before practice began so it's a concern that he missed practice altogether.
In more encouraging news, Perriman practiced full and players including Darnold and Jordan Jenkins were raving about Denzel Mims showing out in practice so it continues to trend towards Mims making his debut on Sunday.
As you can see, the Bills are pretty banged up themselves heading into this one.
