Injury update: Carter misses practice again, but Rankins looks set to return

The second injury report of Vikings week is out:

Rankins returning to full practice is the big story here, as he looks set to make his return on Sunday against a Vikings offensive line that isn't very strong up the middle and could be without Darrisaw at tackle.

Carter and Ogbuehi playing on Sunday looks unlikely at this stage, but we'll see if either will practice tomorrow.

By the sounds of it, George Fant is close to returning and might even be healthy enough to be the eighth offensive lineman on Sunday if Ogbuehi is inactive. To activate Fant, they'd need to make a cut or put someone on injured reserve though, so they may just opt to elevate someone (Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, perhaps?) from the practice squad. Max Mitchell will presumably start at right tackle.
