Injury Update: Becton returns to practice
The first injury report of the new season is here and the Jets are in pretty good shape.
Mekhi Becton has been cleared from concussion protocol and it was good to see Lamarcus Joyner and Justin Hardee back at practice following recent injuries. Rookies Elijah Moore and Alijah Vera-Tucker are also now practicing fully too.
The Jets have plenty of depth at running back, so can easily cope without Perine for a week or two if he can't play. They already added Josh Adams to the roster as extra cover, anyway.
At safety, they're a bit lightweight with only new addition Sheldrick Redwine available to back up Joyner and Marcus Maye if Neasman can't go. However, they could elevate Adrian Colbert or Jarrod Wilson from the practice squad to add some depth.
