Injury/Roster News: Jets release Bates

The second injury report of Steelers week is out:

Nothing has changed really. It seems increasingly likely (Mike) Williams has played his last game as a Jet and that Russell Wilson will start on Sunday.

There was also a roster move:

Jets waived backup TE Brenden Bates, per transaction wire. He was struggling with his blocking. They can elevate (or sign) TE Anthony Firkser from the PS to fill the TE3 role. #Jets
