How the hell am I supposed to know who this is? - Tre McBride III
In a new occasional feature, we're going to briefly highlight any of the lesser-known players that make an impact at camp. Today, we focus on Tre McBride III
What he did:
Tre McBride, who flashed in offseason workouts, joins Anderson & Kearse in 3-wide set with starting offense. Remember: Enunwa & Pryor not doing team work #Jets

Tre McBride with the one-handed grab from Bridgewater with DB on his hip. Nice play.

Where he came from:
McBride was signed to a futures deal by the Jets after having been on their practice squad for a couple of months last season.
Prior to that, he had been with the Titans and Bears. Tennessee had drafted him in the seventh round in 2015 but he was on and off their active roster in his first two years. The Bears claimed him last year and he had a game in October where he caught three passes for 92 yards. Other than that, though, he only has seven other catches for 60 yards and a touchdown in his career.
Outlook:
McBride has to be considered a long-shot to make the roster which potentially has five receivers already who might be considered locks. He could have improved his chances by showing something in the return game, but he wasn't even with the group who worked on punt returns yesterday.
