GM search: Rumors fly as decision time beckons
The Jets seem to be getting their ducks in a row as they prepare to select and announce their new general manager.
Jets held another round of talks last night - second interviews - with Eagles VP of Personnel Joe Douglas, Seahawks Co-Director of Player Personnel Scott Fitterer, Bears asst Director of Player Personnel Champ Kelly and Saints Dir of Pro Scouting Terry Fontenot, per sources.

Logic would suggest the team would aim to get this done before the team breaks for the summer at the end of next week's OTA's but some believe the decision could be made by the weekend.
While the prevailing notion was that this Douglas would be the choice, separate reports from various sources have suggested the following:
- It's still obviously going to be Douglas;
- Fitterer really impressed the Jets in his interview; and
- The Jets may pivot to Kelly if they can't come to an agreement with Douglas.
In reality, the decision either hasn't been made yet, or was already made and all of these leaks are posturing from one side or the other, as they look to come to some kind of agreement.
Stayed tuned...
In yesterday's poll, over two-thirds of JetsFixers selected Douglas as their choice to be the next general manager. Kelly was the next most-popular choice with Fitterer in last place.
