Final: Jets 23 Packers 14
For the second week in a row, the Jets had enough to win pretty comfortably against an opponent that rested a ton of key contributors, but there were some good signs in this performance.
Zach Wilson will get most of the headlines after a solid display that included a pair of touchdown passes to tight end Tyler Kroft in the second half.
Defensively, the Jets were pretty poor in the first half, with no real pass rush, shaky tackling and inconsistent coverage. However, they played much better in the second half as Brandin Echols and Lamar Jackson intercepted passes and JT Hassell added a sack and a forced fumble.
The bad news is that the Jets, who were already resting about 15 players, suffered some more injury issues in this game, the most important one being to linebacker Jarrad Davis. They also lost Conor McDermott to an obviously-serious knee injury and Mike White to a painful looking rib injury.
It was a good day for kicker Matt Ammendola who made three field goals including a 54-yarder and Ace Carter and Corey Davis also played well.
As usual, we'll be here all day tomorrow, starting bright and early, to break down this game in detail.
