Final: Jets 20 Raiders 45
The Jets' push for a high pick in next April's draft remains on course as they fell to 0-2 with an embarrassing loss to the 2-0 Oakland Raiders.
The widely expected blow-out came to fruition after the Jets hung tough until late in the third, but then surrendered three touchdowns in seven minutes. That turned a one-possession game into a 42-13 massacre early in the fourth quarter.
Offensively, the Jets generated much of their production in garbage time, but Jermaine Kearse impressed with two touchdown catches. The bigger problem was on defense with some awful breakdowns against the run. Michael Crabtree also had three touchdown receptions for the Raiders and two scores came after Oakland was gifted a short field by a turnover.
Some in-depth analysis coming soon. Stick around...
