DraftFix: Pro Days - Boise State, Duke, UNC, Tulane
Over the last few weeks, we've been updating you on how draft prospects are faring at most of the main pro day workouts.
North Carolina A&T (Monday)
Brandon Parker is one of the best small school tackles in the draft and he had a pretty good combine but had to miss the bench press after making an unfortunate decision to eat chipotle for lunch. He rectified that with 21 reps at his pro day.
Memphis
Impressive wide receiver Anthony Miller impressed with a 39" vertical and a 4.46 40-yard dash. Some experts have him going in the first round, but he reportedly didn't look great in drills in windy conditions.
Linebacker Genard Avery and quarterback Riley Ferguson just did positional drills having already worked out at the combine. Cornerback Christian Slaughter impressed with a fast 40-time and a 41.5" vertical.
Boise State
Neither of BSU's top prospects - linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson - opted to work out at the pro day, just doing drills instead.
Offensive tackle Archie Lewis is still rehabbing a knee injury and therefore was unable to participate.
Tight end Jake Roh also worked out as a long snapper.
Duke
Defensive tackle Mike Ramsay is probably Duke's best prospect and he reportedly had a good day, although no numbers are available.
Tulane
Cornerback Parry Nickerson and defensive end Ade Aruna both showed out at the combine - although Nickerson injured him hamstring running a 4.32 40-yard dash, so neither ran yesterday, but both did drills and met with teams.
North Carolina
Cornerback MJ Stewart opted to stick with his combine numbers but reportedly looked excellent in positional drills.
Inside linebacker Andre Smith ran the 40 in an unofficial 4.61 and did positional drills.
Indiana
Wide receiver Simmie Cobbs failed to improve on a disappointing vertical jump at the combine, but did shave a tenth off his 40-time at 4.54. Cobbs has probably been overtaken as the Hoosiers top prospect by tight end Ian Thomas, who just did drills.
Linebacker Tegray Scales just did one event, posting a 35" vertical.
Outside linebacker Chris Covington did the drills he didn't do at the combine, posting nice numbers with a 34.5" vertical, 116" broad jump, 4.28 short shuttle and 7.02 three-cone drill.
Cornerback Rashard Fant also helped his stock by running a 4.36 in the 40-yard dash.
