As we look ahead to training camp in late July, we're taking a daily retrospective look back at some random people, moments and games from Jets history...
The Current 43
Rookie cornerback Parry Nickerson will look to win a roster spot this offseason. He's expected to try and win a role as a slot cornerback, despite having mostly played outside in college, so it might take him a while to get up to speed.
The Greatest
Cornerback John Dockery spent four years with the Jets, intercepting seven passes, including five in 1969. He was also a reserve on the team that won the Super Bowl earlier that year.

In 1975, the Jets had a rough year, ending up 3-11. We detailed that earlier in our countdown, here.
Missed from 43
As we noted a few days ago, Doug Brien missed a kick that could have sent the Jets to the 2004 AFC title game. Not to worry though, because he got a second chance from 43 yards:

The Jets put up 43 points in their win over New England in 1987 in what was a weird game because it was announced during the telecast that the players were going on strike. Nuu Faaola scored the only two touchdowns of his career that day.
Also, in 1975, the Jets lost 43-0 to Miami.
