Countdown to Camp: 35
As we look ahead to training camp in late July, we're taking a daily retrospective look back at some random people, moments and games from Jets history...
The Current 35
Cornerback Terrell Sinkfield seems like one of the biggest long-shots on the roster and has arguably already surpassed expectations if he lasts long enough on the roster to make it to camp. However, like Ben Braden, he lasted all year on the practice squad, so maybe he has more potential than we realize.

The Greatest
Fullback Mike Augustyniak was one of a stable of backs that contributed for the Jets in the early eighties. In three seasons, he racked up almost a thousand yards from scrimmage and scored eight touchdowns, including one in each of the first four games on the 1982 playoff team.

In 1983, the Jets regressed, losing seven of their first 11 before rebounding to end up 7-7. We detailed that earlier in our countdown, here.

Other than the shut-out mentioned above, the Jets have had some other good 35-point performances in their history. The most memorable of which was probably the 35-15 wild card game win over the Chiefs. Freeman McNeil scored twice and rushed for 135 yards as Pat Ryan threw three touchdown passes and linebacker Kevin McArthur returned an interception for a touchdown.
