Countdown to Camp: 2
As we look ahead to training camp in late July, we're taking a daily retrospective look back at some random people, moments and games from Jets history...
The Current 2
Until Christian Hackenberg was released, the number two jersey was allocated to Teddy Bridgewater. However, the veteran changed to number five when that became available. Number two is currently not in use as a result.
The Greatest
Nick Folk spent seven years as the Jets kicker and was dubbed "Folk Hero" by Rex Ryan after making one of his many clutch kicks. He didn't miss a kick to cost the Jets a game until late in his career but did have a habit of becoming less reliable when the weather started to get cold.
Here is Folk with a clutch game winner against Dallas:
The other 2's

In 2016, the Jets were hoping to build on their 11-5 season in the previous year, but things went south pretty quickly.
Ryan Fitzpatrick held out and then turned back into a pumpkin when he finally re-upped and the newly re-signed Muhammad Wilkerson failed to adequately recover from a broken leg. Meanwhile, Sheldon Richardson and Brandon Marshall started feuding after a blowout loss to the Chiefs in which Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions. And as for Darrelle Revis? The least said about him, the better.
The Jets ended up 5-11 and Leonard Williams was their only pro bowler after recording seven sacks.
2 in the record books
Chad Morton was a hero in the 2002 season opener when he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, including this one in overtime:
Otis Smith is the other Jet with two return touchdowns in a game, both on interceptions against the Bucs in 1997.
The 1995 Jets set a record for running game futility by managing just two rushing touchdowns all year.
Super Bowl III, which the Jets won over the Colts, set a record for the fewest touchdowns in any Super Bowl as the teams had one each.
Ted Ginn had two kickoff return touchdowns against the Jets in 2009. Miami somehow put up 30 points despite only gaining 104 yards, 67 of which came on one drive.
Jermaine Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens had a record two punt returns in one game against the Jets in 2000.
Finally, the 2012 Patriots and 2011 Ravens each had two fumble return touchdowns against the Jets.
Let us know if there's any connections to 2 that we missed...
