Coaching news update: Jets to hire Frank Pollack as OL coach
According to a report from Mike Florio of PFT, the Jets are hiring former Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack to be their new offensive line coach.
Pollack, who has a background in zone blocking, was an assistant to Bill Callahan in Dallas and took over from him as their offensive line coach in 2015. Dallas was widely regarded as having one of the best offensive lines in the league in 2016, although were beset by injuries in 2017.
He moved on to Cincinnati during the offseason and spent last season with the Bengals.
Pollack has no apparent connection to head coach Adam Gase, but was with the Texans from 2007 to 2011, so he would know Mike Maccagnan well.
