Buzz: Jets working out tackle Byron Bell
Now that the deadline for free agents to count towards the compensatory pick calculation has passed, you can expect activity to pick up around the league and some more veterans will find teams to go to camp with. The Jets are looking at a veteran offensive lineman today:
Veteran OL Byron Bell is working out for the #Jets today, source said. Has 74 career starts for three teams, most recently the #Cowboys.

The 29-year old Bell is experienced, with most of his starts taking place in Carolina. The Cowboys were listing him as a guard. However, he had to start a couple of games at left tackle due to an injury crisis and really struggled in that role.
He played three years at right tackle in Carolina before moving to left tackle for his fourth season. He then spent 2015 with Tennessee, where he started off at tackle but then played guard down the stretch. He missed the entire 2016 season with a dislocated ankle.
Over the course of his career, Bell hasn't graded out very well. His best season was 2013 but then his worst season was 2014 after he moved to the left side.
We'll update you if the Jets make a move.
