Buzz: Jets work out five offensive linemen
Could the Jets have concerns over the long-term durability of some of their veteran linemen? James Carpenter and Kelvin Beachum were limited in practice earlier this week and Spencer Long and Brian Winters both missed several games last year.
They've apparently been taking a look at some potential veteran reinforcements:
#Jets worked out 5 OLs: OTs Will Beatty, Cyrus Kouandjio, Cornelius Lucas, Menelik Watson and G Chaz Green.

Kouandjio is a name we suggested as a potential target after cutdown day, since he is still only 25, reportedly had a decent preseason and has starting experience at both tackle spots. The rest of these names are less enticing though.
The 33-year old Beatty has a lot of experienced but is probably out of a job because he's widely considered to be washed up. Despite still being less than 30, Watson could be a similar case, as he's had to come back from injuries and really struggled in Denver.
Lucas is younger at 27, but has been more of an emergency spot starter than a first choice over the course of his career. Green is a year younger than Lucas but he's best known for his game a few years ago when he gave up six sacks and a 99.9 PFF rating to Adrian Clayborn.
Unfortunately, as this selection underlines, beggars can't be choosers when it comes to upgrading offensive line depth at the NFL level these days. Hopefully the Jets are just carrying out due diligence for an emergency situation that won't come to pass.
We'll let you know if they make a move.
