Buzz: Jets to work out Will Beatty

The Jets are apparently taking a look at a veteran lineman today:

The 32-year old Beatty has started 63 games in his NFL career but has only played seven offensive snaps since 2014, when he was a full-time starter with the Giants. He missed all of 2015 with pec/shoulder injuries and was a back-up all last year.

While there is concern in the media about the Jets' offensive line, Beatty doesn't strike me as an immediately viable option to start. This is probably more of a look into someone who could provide emergency veteran depth if someone was to get hurt.
