Buzz: Jets to trade for former Ravens OL Alex Lewis
The Jets haven't finished stocking their offensive line yet:
Sources: Jets have traded for Ravens OL Alex Lewis. ... Jets decided to trade for him before Baltimore out him on waivers.

This should probably be viewed as a move to replace Brent Qvale, who is currently dealing with a knee injury which is not season-ending but could sideline him for some time, according to Adam Gase.
Lewis started eight games at left guard last year for Baltimore but graded out poorly and was about to be released. It's unlikely he'd challenge for a starting role unless there was an injury.
Lewis, a 27-year old former fourth round pick, has also played some left tackle and will earn just over $2 million in 2019 if he makes the team.
UPDATE: The Jets are just giving up a 7th round conditional pick in next year's draft.
