Buzz: Jets to host C Stefen Wisniewski
The Jets need a veteran stop-gap to potentially start at center. However, there aren't many left. It looks like they've found one to bring in, though.
Free-agent guard Stefen Wisniewski is visiting the New York Jets today. Source says #Vikings reached out about him late last week after it became apparent Nick Easton was likely New Orleans bound. He's on a fact-finding mission with the Jets and then will see how things shake out

Since this tweet was published, Rich Cimini from ESPN has clarified that the visit will be "in the near future" but not today.
Wisniewski has been mostly been playing guard since joining the Eagles in 2016, but that's because they have Jason Kelce to play center. Prior to that, he had been a solid starting center in Jacksonville and Oakland and this is still widely considered to be his best position. He started 24 games over the last three years and began last year as the Eagles' starting left guard before being benched for Isaac Seumalo in week five.
He turns 30 later this week and shouldn't be too expensive, having most recently signed a three-year, $8 million deal in 2017.
