Breaking: Jets trade CB Dexter McDougle for S Terrence Brooks
The Jets have already made a roster move following last night's game:

The 26-year old Brooks is 5'11" and 205 pounds with sub-4.4 speed and, like McDougle, was a third round pick in 2014. He has never started an NFL game, but has 32 tackles, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception in three seasons. He was waived by the Ravens after having spent his first two years with them and had five tackles in 11 games with the Eagles last year in a special teams role.
The move makes sense from a depth perspective. Having already lost Doug Middleton and Rontez Miles to injury, the Jets need some established depth behind their two rookie starters, as well as special teams contributions. It's unclear how long Miles will be out but it seems his eye laceration could affect his availability for opening day.
Ronald Martin seems to be ahead of Robenson Therezie and Shamarko Thomas in the pecking order among the remaining back-ups.
McDougle had two great games to open preseason and it's a boost for the Jets to obtain some value for a guy who began camp as a roster long-shot and is out of contract at the end of the year.
We'll have a full scouting report on Brooks tomorrow.
