Breaking: Jets to hire Rick Dennison as RGC/OL coach
Adam Schefter reports:
Jets expected to hire former Bills’ OC Rick Dennison as their run-game coordinator/offensive line coach, per league source.

Of course, it was Schefter who reported the as-yet-unconfirmed Jeremy Bates as offensive coordinator hire, but the Jets are probably waiting for all the hires to be confirmed before they announce.
Dennison was on Mike Shanahan's staff with Bates between 2006 and 2008. Most recently, he was the offensive coordinator for the Bills last year, having spent the previous two back in Denver.
This article from earlier discusses the ramifications of the Bates/Dennison hires in more detail but basically it could signify a greater reliance on the running game and more of a zone blocking philosophy upfront.
