Breaking: Jets sign WR Cole
The Jets have brought in another pass catcher:
Former Jaguars’ WR Keelan Cole to the Jets on a one-year, $5.5 million deal, per source.

The 27-year old seemed destined for stardom after his rookie year when he caught 16 passes for 393 yards and two touchdowns over a three-game span near the end of the season. He started the next year well too, but then hit a slump and fell out of favor.
However, the Jaguars regained some trust in him over the past two seasons and he caught a career-high 55 passes in 2020 despite only starting five games. The 6'1" Cole has 159 catches for 2,242 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career so far and has averaged over 14 yards per catch.
There's a tenuous connection between Cole and the Jets. Cole has trained with and been mentored by DaMarcus Ganaway, who was in camp with the team in 2012 and went to the same college, since before he was drafted.
