Breaking: Jets sign Connor McGovern

The Jets have further bolstered their offensive line by signing Connor McGovern, who started every game at center for the Denver Broncos last season, plus the last eight games of 2018.

McGovern was one of the best centers on the market and should provide the Jets with an upgrade over last year's starters Ryan Kalil and Jonotthan Harrison. Harrison can now move into a back-up role.

After the moves today, the depth chart currently looks something like this, so there's still work to be done:

LT - George Fant (Connor McDermott)
LG - Alex Lewis (Connor McDermott)
C - Connor McGovern (Jonotthan Harrison)
RG - Brian Winters (Ben Braden)
RT - Chuma Edoga (Ben Braden)

Futures signings Brad Lundblade, Corbin Kaufusi and Jimmy Murray currently round out the rotation, as will Leo Koloamatangi, assuming he is signed to an ERFA tender.
