Breaking: Jets draft tight end Trevon Wesco with the 121st pick
Starting off with the 105th pick, the Jets traded down twice to 121, netting themselves an extra fifth-round pick in the process.
With the pick, they opted to take a tight end; Trevon Wesco from West Virginia. Wesco, who is 6'3" and 267, is one of the best blocking tight ends in the draft and can also play some fullback. He showed some pass catching ability with 26 receptions for 366 yards and a touchdown last year.
As it stands, the Jets now have two picks left; the extra pick acquired in the trade down (157) and a sixth rounder at 196 overall. Stay tuned for details of more trades or the next pick soon.
