Breaking: Jets draft edge defender Jachai Polite with the 68th pick

After reportedly trying to move up into the early part of the second round the Jets ultimately stayed pat and selected edge defender Jachai Polite.

Polite was regarded as a possible first round pick but had a poor offseason with bad workout numbers and, reportedly, some shaky interviews.

Polite, who is listed at 6'3" and 258 pounds, had 11 sacks last year with the Florida Gators, but only ran a 4.84 in the 40-yard dash at the combine.

The Jets' next scheduled pick is No. 93.
