Breaking: Jets cut five (Update - now six)
The Jets now have 14 open roster spots after having released five players on Wednesday.
Per Rich Cimini, the players released were running back Brandon Burks, wide receiver Darius Jennings, long snapper Josh Latham, linebacker/fullback Jeff Luc and defensive lineman Julien Obioha.
UPDATE: They have also released defensive end Kenny Anunike, again per Rich Cimini.
Burks was the only one of the five to have played for the Jets - he carried two times for minus-4 yards in the season finale against the Bills.
None of these moves are especially surprising and there may be a couple more to follow.
