Breaking: Chris Herndon suspended for the first four games

Ugh.

Usually the punishment wouldn't be this strict for a first-time offender but there were apparently "aggravating circumstances".

Herndon may yet appeal and try to get a game or two knocked off this, as a few players have been able to in the past. However, it's difficult to know if this is possible without all the facts.

Eric Tomlinson, Daniel Brown and rookie Trevon Wesco are the only other tight ends the Jets currently have on their roster.
